{"id":1123,"date":"2015-04-07T21:58:04","date_gmt":"2015-04-07T21:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/vol-precario-2\/"},"modified":"2015-12-07T16:18:52","modified_gmt":"2015-12-07T16:18:52","slug":"vol-precario","status":"publish","type":"season","link":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/en\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/vol-precario\/","title":{"rendered":"Volo precario\u00a0 (Precarious Flight)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20101.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-476 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20101.jpg\" alt=\"2010\" width=\"321\" height=\"453\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Continuing to dramatize the effects of the financial crisis, the 2010 <em>autodramma<\/em> responded to a statistical fact\u2014that the burden of unemployment and uncertainty fell mainly on people under the age of 35.\u00a0 An increasing number of them were still living with their parents, because they cannot afford to do anything else.<\/p>\n<p>The play showed a group of youngsters who had tried to confront the problem in their own way, by taking over an old farmhouse and living there as a commune.\u00a0 Their relatively realistic story was framed and commented through other dramatic planes which were more obviously theatrical.\u00a0 A mysterious nomadic figure (<em>Il Signor Lui<\/em>, \u2018Mister Him\u2019) haunted their environment: they did not understand whether he represented a threat or a positive resource.\u00a0 Unknown to themselves, they were being watched and interpreted on stage by a Ballad-singer.\u00a0\u00a0 They were also surveyed by grotesque fantasy figures known as the \u2018Crows\u2019 (\u2018<em>Corvi<\/em>\u2019), who represented the arbitrary controlling powers of a corrupt and anonymous state, and who indeed seemed able to intervene on the young people\u2019s world by passing arbitrary laws.\u00a0 These figures were inclined to persecute the nomadic migrant \u2018il Signor Lui\u2019 in a Kafkaesque or Orwellian fashion.<\/p>\n<p>The young people were developing a mood of resistance and rebellion, and so giving anxiety to their parents, who were more afraid and more in search of a quiet life.\u00a0 But they all also came from a community which retained memories about how, sixty years ago, a peasant community used to face economic oppression with a greater degree of solidarity.\u00a0 Eventually the young generation tried to create a mood of optimism, through a dream narrative which involved climbing ladders to reach up towards a better world\u2014the \u2018Precarious Flight\u2019 of the play\u2019s title.\u00a0 And they discovered that \u2018il Signor Lui\u2019 was an expert in the construction of toy helicopters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":476,"template":"","class_list":["post-1123","season","type-season","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category_season-autodramma-en","category_season-show"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Volo precario\u00a0 (Precarious Flight) - Teatro Povero di Monticchiello<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/en\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/vol-precario\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Volo precario\u00a0 (Precarious Flight) - Teatro Povero di Monticchiello\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Continuing to dramatize the effects of the financial crisis, the 2010 autodramma responded to a statistical fact\u2014that the burden of unemployment and uncertainty fell mainly on people under the age of 35.\u00a0 An increasing number of them were still living with their parents, because they cannot afford to do anything else.
