{"id":1158,"date":"2015-03-29T20:39:58","date_gmt":"2015-03-29T20:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/due-2\/"},"modified":"2016-05-02T21:01:54","modified_gmt":"2016-05-02T21:01:54","slug":"due","status":"publish","type":"season","link":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/en\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/due\/","title":{"rendered":"Due (Crisi della coppia)  (\u2018Two\u2019\u2014the Couple in Crisis)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/1979.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-299\" src=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/1979.jpg\" alt=\"1979\" width=\"285\" height=\"408\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the Lazzaretti digression, the Teatro Povero returned to its established <em>autodramma<\/em> formula, and this year addressed a particularly topical problem: the crisis of the married couple.\u00a0 It was a subject which had already been hinted at previously, especially in <em>Quelle e queste donne <\/em>(1977), always in the larger context of examining and depicting the peasant family.<\/p>\n<p>This time, however, the <em>autodramma<\/em> focused a little more on the the negative aspects of the peasant family as well as on its virtues.\u00a0 All in the cause of a more balanced assessment of a peasant culture which was undoubtedly rich and fascinating, but which should not be turned into an idyllic myth.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Due<\/em>, arguments about couples were pursued both in relation to contemporary times and to the era which was seen as most significant and meaningful for Tuscan peasant society: the early nineteenth century.\u00a0 The comparison between the two periods did not lead to a simple condemnation of one and bucolic exaltation of the other.\u00a0 It offered a detached and careful analysis of both, and ended by de-mythologizing a time which had sometimes been seen as the Golden Age of the peasant family.<\/p>\n<p><em>Due<\/em> was not a play built round a single protagonist, but a social drama in which a series of different couples reflected the fragmentation suffered by a social institution\u2014always expressed through the context and particular circumstances of Monticchiello.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":299,"template":"","class_list":["post-1158","season","type-season","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category_season-autodramma-en","category_season-show"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
