{"id":1167,"date":"2015-03-29T20:12:54","date_gmt":"2015-03-29T20:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/sei-secoli-fa-oggi-e-domani-2\/"},"modified":"2016-05-02T20:22:28","modified_gmt":"2016-05-02T20:22:28","slug":"sei-secoli-fa-oggi-e-domani","status":"publish","type":"season","link":"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/en\/spettacoli-teatro-povero\/sei-secoli-fa-oggi-e-domani\/","title":{"rendered":"Sei secoli fa, oggi e domani (Six Centuries Ago: Today and Tomorrow)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/1971.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1168 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/teatropovero.it\/_mamawp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/1971.jpg\" alt=\"1971\" width=\"275\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>That 6th of April in 1944<\/em> had dealt for the first time with an event from contemporary local history.\u00a0 <em>We from Monticchiello<\/em> had sifted through the daily lives of people in the village.\u00a0 These were now two starting points for the \u201cautodramatic\u201d development of Monticchiello\u2019s theatre project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAutodramma\u201d\u2014the term was coined by internationally renowned theatre director Giorgio Strehler\u2014consists in turning the memories and experience of a community into live theatre, with as few fictional transformations as possible; allowing the actors, as far as possible, to \u201cperform themselves\u201d.\u00a0 But the community was still also preoccupied with stories and myths from history which still seemed to impinge on the present.<\/p>\n<p>This play was concerned with a mystic character and a religious movement in the fourteenth century: the Blessed Francesco of Monticchiello, and the society of Gesuati.\u00a0 These were considered as possible models for behaviour in modern times.\u00a0 The Gesuati were a protest movement, not violent but certainly not silent or isolated, which resisted materialism and the concentration of power in a small oligarchy.\u00a0 By an attempt to reincarnate this mysticism, the actors sought to discover which elements of it were still exploitable.\u00a0 This exploration tended towards the idea that salvation was still an achievable human aim, however much conditions may have changed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1168,"template":"","class_list":["post-1167","season","type-season","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category_season-autodramma-en","category_season-show"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
