From Florence: A1 motorway Florence-Rome; exit no. 28 for Valdichiana.
Follow signs to Montepulciano. Once through this town, continue in the direction of Chianciano Terme. After 2 km, there is a turning right (Villa Bianca junction) with a signpost to Monticchiello.
The distance is then around 8 km, including a sharp curved descent in front of the village.
From Rome: A1 motorway Rome-Florence(-Milan); exit no. 29 for Chiusi-Chianciano Terme.
Drive through Chianciano, and then follow signs to Montepulciano. 1.5 km after the village of Sant’Albino, there is a turning left (Villa Bianca junction) with a signpost to Monticchiello.
The distance is then around 8 km, including a sharp curved descent in front of the village.
